About
Designed to emphasize the intersection of music and juggling, the Jazz & Juggle Competition is open to all skill and age levels.
Teams are also welcome. Organized by Michael Rosman and sponsored by
the Laughter Arts Foundation.
History
Introduced at the 2005 Davenport and featuring local musician Bix Beiderbecke, the new
Jazz & Juggle competition was a popular addition to the IJA Festival.
Rules
The 2006 musical choices are any work by Louis Armstrong, or any musician born or based in Portland, OR. Find a piece of
music and choreograph a routine to it. Any prop may be used. Solo and team entries welcome. Judging will be based upon musical interpretation. Entry fee will be $5.
Cash awards will be $100 for first place, $75 for second, and $50 for third.
