Where did "Les Tourisks" go?

Hey, I attended the 1998 IJA convention in Primm Valley and I saw one of the
most amazing acts ever known as "Les Tourisks" at the time. Does anyone know
anything about these boys? where did they go? what are they doing now? any video
of that show anywhere? My friends and I always thought it was a few people from
cirque du soleil that came to show us all up!

Les Tourisks were students at Quebec's "École nationale du cirque" (the Quebec
circus school). They have long since gone their separate ways, but as of a
couple of years ago, at least one was performing with Cirque Éos
[www.cirqueeos.qc.ca] (For those who don't speak French, the name is a
pun: "cirque éos" sounds like "sur chaos" which means "on top of chaos".)

I don't know of any Les Tourisks video out on the Internet, but they'd almost
certainly appear on the 1998 highlights tape, which is in the IJA store
[www.juggle.org] , and the 1998 Champs, which doesn't seem to be.

Maybe Don Lewis could add more?

That Primm convention was the best convention I went to. Not only were there
great acts like Les Tourisks, but the accomidations were better than anything
i'd ever seen ever anywhere. It was $5.00 for my hotel room per night. I split
that with my friend so it cost me only $10.00 to stay 4 nights. The food was
fantastic, the Primm casino had just opened up a 4 star restaurant there, but
the casino wasnt fully open so to attract new customers a steak and eggs
breakfast only cost $2.00! And late night the diner there went to something
crazy like 75% off normal price, it was so cheap that I met a homeless guy in
Primm and HE TREATED ME to dinner! The resort had three casino's connected to
each other through a monorail, One of the other casinos had an amusement park of
which didn't seem to mind if you paid for tickets or not. I bought one ticket
and was able to ride everything all day long because nobody wanted to take my
one ticket I had. Then one day near the last day of the convention, i came
downstairs towards the convetion room, but somehow I wasnt paying attention and
accidentally walked into a MALL? Yeah a brand new mall opened up the day we were
there which was a crazy moment because I had no clue where I was for a moment
knowing "this wasnt here yesterday, how could I have missed THIS!?"
Oh yeah and some of the worlds best jugglers were there. Too cool, way too cool,
nothing will ever compare. And oh yeah, if primm didnt offer enough
entertainment you had the city of las vegas only a short drive away.

Recently I went back to Primm, and it's much pricier now. Rooms cost a normal
amount, food costs $5.00 for anything, the amusement park charges now, and the
mall has nothing cool to offer. Did anyone remember the living manaquins at that
mall? They are gone... Bonnie and Clydes car is still there though.
