The IJA is excited to announce, after much work and contemplation, the new IJA eZine has been released!

Check it out at:

ezine.juggle.org

The eZine is designed to release articles, videos, columns, tutorials, IJA news, contests, and more, on a regular ongoing basis. The goal is to have content released every couple of days to keep jugglers like you entertained and informed about the juggling community. The eZine is designed to be interactive - so, leave comments, thoughts, stories, ect. in the comment section of articles, and see what others are saying.

This is only the beginning of this project, and we look forward to seeing how it grows and develops throughout 2012 and for many years to come. Comments and feedback are welcome, and will help us to mold the eZine into the valuable resource it has the potential to be!

Here's to a 2012 full of juggling-goodness!

Hi guys,

Im a runner who discovered juggling and then moved on to joggling. I decided to have a go at breaking the world record for 800m (last I knew it was 2.13). I'm wondering if anyone could clarify the rules as to whether or not I could start about 10m behind the start line and build up to my race speed and as I cross the start line start to juggle so that I dont have to worry about speeding up while I'm juggling. Can you do this or do you have to start at the line and juggle from the word go? Would it even be any quicker to do this?

Thanks guys :)

Hi everyone!

One more survey for you 2011 IJA festival goers, if you are willing. We had a workshop about possible Fun Fund options for 2012 and I was happy to see new faces wanting to give input and even sit on the committee that will ultimately decide upon and implement the expenditures of the next block of $20,000. For myself, I have to once again thank the 2011 Committee for working their asses off to really add some new flavor to the festival. Those names again:

Mike Sullivan
Jek Kelly
Jim Maxwell
Warren Hammond
Slammin Andy Peterson (and his merry band--Crash, Mark Hayward, Tom
and Penny Tesarek)
Dave Pawson

Here's that survey:

Of course, final thanks go to iiWii!!! I'm humbled by the generosity...

Hi everyone!

So, we had about 58 different workshop leaders and 99 official workshops on the final Google calendar. However, I missed putting two down on Friday and at least one or two down on Saturday. There was one no-show, so overall the total workshop count comes out to about 102 different workshop between Monday night (there was one by Jared
Davis) and Saturday afternoon. At 102, that's the best in terms of numbers for the three years I've done workshops, just barely beating the 100 workshops from Winston-Salem in 2009. Honestly though, it's not all about the numbers. I think this year was the best because we had almost all of the VIP guests stepping up and teaching at least one or more workshops. They deserve a special thank-you, given their busy schedules.

The survey link below is for those of you who attended the festival and availed yourself of the workshops there. I would like to hear what you have to say, so if you have a minute, 10 questions await you at:

I'm done with workshops for now. Time for some new blood. I look forward to helping whoever steps up (a couple nibbles, but let's leave it open for now and give people a chance), but otherwise, it's been a total blast.

As for 2012, that's another post. =)
