: : : : : : Thanks, : : : Dave : : Dave, You may have more luck contacting the fest organizers directly. : : Mondo (Jerry Martin should be able to help) : : : : Hope that was at least kinda helpfull. : : Brian : Getting an accurate, reliable, consistent and honest count of attendance is unlikely. Some fests count people who walk in the door, some fests count the show attendance and some fests rely on hyped up figures from one random year...it grows and grows.. : Only Chris LaReau has attended as many festivals as we have in a year.
: : : I'm trying to find the top ten biggest regional juggling festivals in the US. If you have attendance numbers for your local festival (either 2004 or 2005)please post them here.
: : The biggest Midwest ones (in approximate order) are:
: : Madfest (I'd contact Mark Hayward or Melonhead)
: : Tossup (www.tossup.org)
: : Those are probably the only ones that might break into a national top 10.
: : University of Illinois (Contact Chris Lareau), Quad Cities (Dusty), St. Louis(?), Ft. Wayne (?), Flatland (Nebraska) also have conventions, but those are a bit smaller in size.
: Before you publish anything get expert impartial feedback from Chris, us or Jerry from Todd Smith. It would be best to make a list of the larger regional festivals without ranking the attendance.
