i have been involved in a great many organisations and firmly believe that secrets should not be kept. This whole issue was one that had not caused me any concern at all until i read the single Unwilling sentence
: Jaye did not offer any explanation for her behavior other than undisclosed health reasons and the late hour of the meetings. Meetings have been held at 6:30pm Pacific / 8:30pm Central time. I don't know which time zone she was in. We were told that her contact information (address and email) are correct so she has received our communications. She was unwilling to give the board a phone number where we could reach her should this problem happen again. She also stated that she had asked someone to send me a letter stating her request to have earlier meetings for health reasons. I have not yet received this letter.
As a current IJA Member i am very concerned that a board member was Unwilling to give his or her phone numbers to other board members.
Unless she gave a VERY good reason as to why she could not disclose a contact number to the other board members i would now be questioning her motives.
