This IJA Discussion Forum is an official channel of communication between the board and the membership. Nevertheless, any post made here by an IJA board member or official is that person's own personal view and does not necessarily represent IJA policy, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the post.
This Forum is intended as a place to discuss civilly the functioning and business of the International Jugglers' Association (IJA). It is also used by the IJA to make announcements. All other topics are inappropriate. This forum is not for discussing juggling per se but for talking about the Association.
A post may be deleted immediately if any part of it is considered inappropriate for this Forum, as determined by the IJA webmaster. Posts must conform to the rules here and are subject to editing to remove inappropriate language.

Message threads will remain viewable from the Discussion Forum for about a month, or longer in threads that remains active. Messages will generally remain viewable indefinitely from the Quarterly Archives, where the most recent messages are shown first without threading. For more readily identifying new messages, you may prefer to read the Forum from Latest Messages, where messages are listed strictly newest first instead of in the threads shown on the Discussion Forum. Latest Messages may be slower to load since it contains up to three months of messages. When viewing a post from the Latest Messages page, you can use the small links at the top center of the message to post a followup or to get to existing followups or previous messages in the thread. |
Thanks to Andrew Conway for setting up the technical aspects of the Discussion Forum.
This Forum utilizes a program called "WWWBoard" created by, and used by permission of Matt Wright.
Can I put html tags anywhere in my posts?
Depends. You can not use HTML tags in any field except in the body of the message. The maintainer of the script has the option of allowing or disallowing HTML in the Message part of your posting. If they disallow it, the script will just throw out everything in <>'s. If they allow it, your html markup will appear in the posting. It can't hurt to try.
Note: HTML in the message body is enabled. But remember: making a message too fancy can make it distracting.
Why are there colons in the message when I try to post a followup?
Colons appear in the message dialog box when you "follow up" on a message to indicate that those lines are quoting the previous document. The owner of the WWWBoard can decide whether they wish to enable or disable the quoting of previous messages.
Note: quoting is enabled.
Your post most likely did not show up because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of its local cache. Press reload or refresh in your browser and the message should then appear. If your browser does not automatically update the index page, then you may have to press reload or refresh every time you return to the message board to see new messages.
Where can I get the scripts for this program?
The scripts are written in Perl and created by Matt Wright. They are free to anyone who wishes to use them and you can get them as well as other scripts at: http://worldwidemart.com/scripts/. Enjoy!
