IJA Challenge – 4 Ball Endurance with One Eye Closed

Thank you so very much to everyone who entered last month’s contest!  We got a lot of entries and all of them beat me, so I guess belly size was in fact NOT a factor after all!

First place went to Nick Ponseca with 190 catches!  Second was Mike Moore with 95 catches!  As usual our first place winner will be getting a full years membership to the IJA plus $40 in store credit, and the second place finisher will be recieving $40 in store credit.  Our other entries were Mateo Erdmann – 81 catches, Nick Thomas – 52 catches, Diego Hernandez – 51 catches, Caleb Stockwell – 45 catches, Bennett Santoro – 38 catches, and Pablo Minaudier – 30 catches!  Well done to all of you!

Hello, and thanks for coming to the IJA Challenge! The IJA Challenge is a monthly video contest put forth to the juggling community, in which anyone with a video camera can record an attempt to compete for a juggling/manipulation based world record set by Richard Kohut. The winners receive prizes for their achievement in breaking or tying his world record attempt. This also means the winner of each month’s contest will become a world record holder! So if you think you have the skills, set up your camera and give it a shot! You could be the best in the world at something and not even know it yet! Entrants have 3 weeks from the posting of the video to submit their entry via email to ijachallenge@gmail.com, and must follow the rules for the month’s challenge. Prizes for the entrants are as follows: 1st prize – 1 Year IJA Membership and $40 IJA Store Credit; 2nd Prize – $40 IJA Store Credit.  Prizes may be collected by contacting Scott Seltzer.

This month’s challenge rules:

•May use any 4 balls

•Eye must be closed for the first throw

•Eye must remain closed for the duration of the attempt

DUE DATE FOR THIS MONTH IS APRIL 24th.
