World Juggling Day is held on the Saturday closest to June 17th - the day the IJA was founded in 1947.

A Brief History

World Juggling Day was originally established in the mid 1980's as "National Juggling Day" by the International Jugglers' Association. In 1995, the name was changed to more accurately represent the goals of the IJA. In 1997, for the IJA's 50th Anniversary, this website was established as a more effective means of building enthusiasm for the event worldwide and tracking its results.

	No contest was held in 2000, but many juggling groups responded to the call to hold WJD events.
