A Message from the Chairman, April, 2015

With registration open, the excitement is really building for our festival! We have a few different things going on this year that I would like to draw attention to.

This year we have a whopping four special workshops that attendees can sign up for: Constructing Creativity by Greg Kennedy; Contact Staff and Fei Cha by Solstix; Acro Juggling by Svetlana Zueva; and Diabolo by Priam Pierret. Not only is there a great deal of educational diversity with this line up, but the workshops run variable lengths with the costs associated with them reflective of that. This lends well if you are interested in taking multiple special workshops, or do not want to have to plan your whole festival around single special workshop.

Joggling is going to be a little bit different this year as well; we are stepping away from the track and onto the street. That’s right, the 2015 World Joggling Championships will be a road race! The race format is still largely the same, but instead of an isolated track, participants will run through beautiful Quebec City. In addition to being much more scenic, this will also encourage community involvement and hopefully bring out locals to help show support and cheer on the jogglers.

We are also pleased to announce that thanks to our anonymous donor Unna Med, we have a Festival Awesomeness Fund this year! Just what is a Festival Awesomeness Fund, you ask? Well you see, it is a price matching system between our donor and YOU! For every donation a member makes into this fund, Unna Med will match it, resulting in every donation we receive into this fund DOUBLED, up to $10,000. The money in this fund will then be used exclusively on enhancing the festivities at the festival. We have already formed a committee to help manage this fund, and we’re looking at various food, beverage, and activity options. In short, the more donations we receive, the more awesomeness we will have that permeates throughout the festival!

Juggle on,
