It is impossible to keep track of all the jugglers in the world, even those with significant performing careers. However, when two of the world’s top jugglers seem to have disappeared completely online, it makes me decide to investigate. That is the reason for this article. The two jugglers are Angel Egea and Nicolai Gerasimov.
Angel Egea
Angel Egea is a third-generation juggler from Spain. He started performing incredible juggling and ball spinning with large balls in 1990. His ball spinning work included some of the best tricks in the world. He is the only known juggler to bounce two balls off of a mouth stick and was a master of the triple ball spin stack. About 8 years ago, Angel stopped posting on Facebook and his website was taken down. There has been no activity on his Youtube account either. If you know anything about Angel now, please let me know. I hope that he is retired and enjoying his time away from the spotlight, but I just don’t know anything.
Nicolai Gerasimov
Nikolai Gerasimov is a Russian juggler born in 1979. He and his sister Yulia were trained by their father, Nikolai Sr., who had been trained by Alexander Kiss. Nikolai made his debut in an act with his father at the age of 16. At the age of 17, he was awarded the title of “Artist of the Year of the Russian Circus”. He was then the featured artist in his family’s juggling act from that point on. Gerasimov used a very unique technique of juggling even numbers of props with the arms sticking straight out to the side and odd numbers with the props thrown angled almost perpendicular to the body. Despite this very unusual method, Nikolai performed up to 8 clubs and 11 rings in every show and didn’t use a holster for 11 rings. He also performed 9 rings with a ball bouncing on his head and 10 rings with a pole balance.

Nicolai vanished online about 7 years ago, with his Facebook account deleted and his Youtube account going dormant. If you know anything about his current situation, please let me know.
These two performers were both incredible, and I hope to learn what happened to them.
