Hi, My name is Gustaf Rosell, and I’m from a small town in Sweden called Falun. I discovered juggling when I was 11 and quickly became obsessed with it, leading me to study circus arts. I started at a preparatory school nearby and then went to AFUK and Le Lido. I also spent a semester at Kiev Academy of Circus, where, surrounded by incredible jugglers, I had the privilege of learning from the legendary teacher Yuriy Pozdnyakov.
Over the years, I’ve been fascinated by the abundance of possibilities that juggling provides, and I’ve enjoyed the challenge of expressing myself and innovating within this art form. After my graduation in 2013, I began exploring different concepts. In this video, I present a compilation of tricks I discovered through a research I refer to as “body traps.”
This footage was filmed in March 2023 during my stay at “La Fabrique Culturelle” in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, while performing “The Vessel” at the RICA festival. The soundtrack features “Artificial-Commonsense” by FRNTBZNZZ.
