My Name is Kathryn Carr and I’m a professional juggler from the United States, who lives in Ellicott City, Maryland. My passion for juggling ignited during childhood, and blossomed into a lifelong journey into the world of juggling arts. It wasn’t until 2008 at my first International Jugglers Association’s convention, that I discovered the vibrant and diverse community that would become my extended family. Over the course of a decade I studied my craft by going to conventions, clubs, shows, and training multiple styles of juggling. This dedication culminated in a remarkable achievement: I become the IJA’s 1st American woman to win a Silver Medal in a live Stage Competition for Individuals, with my showgirl styled hat act. Before becoming obsessed with hats, you could find me with a large contact ball. Now that contact juggling background is helping me with my new journey this year into head bouncing. In this video there is a special focus on balancing with the forehead being the top of the Tricksmas Tree. I blend hats with flowers, contact, head balancing, jump-rope, and combination tricks in hopes of spreading some holiday magic to all who love this amazing art form. Special thanks to Zak McAllister for editing, and Stephen Haines for filming. This video was taken at Funicular Station in Philadelphia PA.
