2024 IJA Festival  by Afton Benson

Hi everyone!

We want to introduce the 2024 IJA Festival Team.  Noel Yee and Afton Benson are Co-Directors for next year’s festival, and we’re excited to get to work as a duo!  We’re excited to have Shivella on board as the Festival Registrar and Ross Berenson returning as the Shows Director.  We’ve all worked together on multiple festivals and are thrilled to be back for the 2024 IJA Festival in Green Bay, WI.

Our site visit is coming up in October, so keep your eyes peeled for updates from our visit and announcements about events.  Start planning your routine for the IJA Juggling Championships.

In the meantime, we need your help spreading the word!  If you have a juggling club or a festival coming up, contact us at festival2024@juggle.org and we can see about getting some flyers out to you.  Better yet!  You can download the PDF of the two-sided festival flyer and share it digitally or print your own for your club or festival.  We’ll be updating the website and Facebook event soon!

Thanks for making the juggling community great!

Noel, Afton, Shivella, and Ross

Get ready for the next festival!  by Don Lewis

It was great to get back to a normal IJA festival this year in a friendly city without being perturbed by the pandemic.  A lot of volunteer work went into the fest which was very much appreciated by all in attendance.

If you were not there, you missed a lot of fun.  If you were there, you know what I mean.  The best way to make the festival even better is to get more people to attend.  You only have to convince a juggler to come to their first IJA festival.  After that, they’ll return on their own because it is just that much fun.

So right now – while you are full of enthusiasm from the fest – is the best time to get all your juggling buddies to put the IJA festival on their radar for next summer.  The IJA has negotiated amazing discounts for lodging that you just won’t find anywhere else.  Up to four people can share a room, offering quite a cost savings.  In the middle of summer, we’ll have a large, air-conditioned juggling space along with a wide array of high quality workshops to choose from.  Plus, there will be world class shows most nights to inspire you.  It is a great value for a full week.

This is our festival, so let’s be proud of it and spread the word!
