Kia ora kotou,
My Name is Mark Williams aka The Catching Machine from Tamaki Makaurau Auckland in Aotearoa New Zealand. I am of Maori descent. I’ve been juggling for 28 years. The last 8 of which have been focused on Hoops. I specialise in body rolls and trying to integrate hoop tricks into juggling patterns.
I was very lucky to be able to shoot my video in Te Noho Kotahitanga Marae. Every inch of the Marae is a work of art created by Te Arawa master carver Dr Lyonel Grant.
The Song i used is Poi E by The Patea Maori Club ( Groovy T’s Groovy UKG Edit) which is a very famous kiwi tune given a fresh flip.
Special Thanks to Hoopspin for my hoops, Astral Hoops for my LEDs, Circability for the support and Te Kura Maninirau for making a space for me to explore my culture and my juggling.
Find me on all socials @thecatchingmachine
