IJA Tricks of the Month by Emma Hörnel from Sweden | hoop juggling

Hi!

I’m Emma Hörnell, I’m from Östersund which is a town in the middle of Sweden. I discovered hula hoops around the time I turned 20; since I’m turning 30 this week that makes it 10 years since I started this journey. And except for taking a couple of years off due to an injury and surgeries, hoop is what I’ve been doing full time basically since the start!

I like playing with breaking lines and patterns to see what can be created. Other than that I also have a bit of an obsession with “Bramson” tricks. If I had to put a label on what I do I’d call it experimental hoop juggling.

Thanks for watching! For more of my work you can follow me on Instagram @hornellemma and hopefully we can start meeting at conventions again soon!

Random fact, one of my surgeries left me with a grumpy face scar on my wrist!

The IJA actively searches out the best juggling talent around the world to make awesome videos for your viewing pleasure. Get ready to be inspired.IJA Tricks of the Month are organized by Jorge Vilchis, Erin Stephens and Lucas Adverse.
