International Women’s Day was celebrated on March 8, and for that reason the IJA brings you an article dedicated to those women from around the world who have the discipline and perseverance to succeed in doing what they like: juggling.
Some acts from different countries will be in the article. I know there are many talented acts that are not included, but we could not include them all. I hope you enjoy this article.
SVETLANA ZUEVA
She began juggling at the age of 14. She graduated from the circus school in Kiev, Ukraine, and was trained by the great Yuri Podznyakov.
She was silver medalist in the Juggling Championship in Russia in 2014.
Svetlana was in The Top 40 Favorite Jugglers in 2014 and 2015.
ALEKSANDRA SOBOLEVA
She started juggling at age 9. Currently studying at the Municipal school of Circus in Kiev, Ukraine, where both of her parents are teachers.
Aleksandra has worked in many countries such as Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Latvia, Israel, and Netherlands.
CAROLINA GARRAFFO
She started juggling at the age of 16 and has been practicing juggling for 20 years. She spent a lot of time traveling to circus festivals and conventions in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil.
In 2014 she moved to Brazil and produced a show called “Humor and Circus.” last year she opened a company that produces circus shows for events in Argentina. Her website is www.humorecirco.com.br

CAROL RIGOLETTO
Daughter of a clown and a trapeze artist, Carol has the honor of being born into a circus family and is the fourth generation of the Rigolettos. She is the first juggler of the Rigoletto family.
Carol was born in Araraquara, a municipality in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is one of few women in the world who has successfully flashed 7 clubs.
HELENA POLACH
Helena was born in the city of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. She has been in some circuses like Circo Hermanos Vasquez.
She currently lives in Paris with her husband and daughter.
