IRC Middle East 2020

IJA Regional Competition Information

The goal of the IJA Regional Competition (IRC) is to award high quality juggling routines that feature strong technique, creativity and entertainment value. It awards competitors who push the limits of juggling, while also maintaining a high level of presentation and professionalism. The IRC Middle East 2020 will take place on the 12th of April, as part of the Israeli Juggling Convention. To learn more about the IJC visit their website.
The IRC is open to all legal or permanent residents of the region of the Middle Eastern region, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Yemen, Palestine, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Turkey and Syria. Only individual acts are allowed to participate in the IJA Regional Competitions of 2020. Performers interested in competing must submit an Entry Form by the deadline of the 22nd of March. Entries must meet all requirements outlined in the IRC Rules, including the submission of an unedited video of the competition routine running 5-8 minutes in length. Competitors are required to read all rules prior to entering the competition.

IRC Middle East History
The IJA partnered with the Israeli Juggling Convention, one of the largest juggling conventions in the world, to hold the first IRC Middle East in 2016. The event also returned to the IJC in 2017. The IJA aims to make this an annual event, rotating the IRCs to various middle eastern hosting countries in the future.

IRC of the World
Founded in 2011, the IJA Regional Competition (IRC) brings the IJA Stage Championship model to regional festivals around the world. The goals of this program include:
- To award competition routines with high caliber performance and technical skill, which are entertaining and marketable to a general public audience;
- To promote the development and enhancement of juggling within each region (competitors must be residents or natives of the stated region);
- To unite the international juggling community by spreading awareness of the juggling culture in each region, through promotion of these events.
