One of the best sources of juggling videos from the middle of the twentieth century is The Ed Sullivan Show. This iconic television show, which ran from 1948 until 1971, featured hundreds of variety acts, including many jugglers. The Ed Sullivan Show Youtube channel has uploaded many juggling acts in the past two years. These are a treasure trove of historical juggling acts that should be viewed and appreciated. Some of these jugglers have been written about extensively while others are virtually unknown. In Part 1 of this series, we’ll look at 11 of these acts.

The Martin Brothers is a mostly forgotten comedy juggling duo, but they appeared at least twice on The Ed Sullivan Show.
