One of the best sources of juggling videos from the middle of the twentieth century is The Ed Sullivan Show. This iconic television show, which ran from 1948 until 1971, featured hundreds of variety acts, including many jugglers. The Ed Sullivan Show Youtube channel has uploaded many juggling acts in the past two years. These are a treasure trove of historical juggling acts that should be viewed and appreciated. Some of these jugglers have been written about extensively while others are virtually unknown. In Part 2 of this series, we’ll look at 15 of these acts.
First we’ll start with juggling icons Lottie and Francis Brunn.
The next two videos feature an act I know nothing about; Chong and Mana.
Perhaps the juggling act best-known for his appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show was plate spinnier Erich Brenn. Here are three of his appearances on the program.

And finally we come to a video that I put online just for this article. It is of Bobby Jule’s appearance on the show. Bobby is still involved in the juggling community at the age of 97.

20 世紀半ばのジャグリングを知るための映像として、「エド・サリバン・ショー（The Ed Sullivan Show）」はとても優れた資料だ。1948 年から 1971 年まで放送されたこの有名なテレビ番組では、数多くのバラエティアクトが放送され、その中にはジャグラーも大勢含まれていた。エド・サリバン・ショーの公式 Youtube チャンネルでは、過去 2 年間に多くのジャグリング映像がアップロードされている。歴史的なジャグリングの宝庫とも言え、必見である。これまでに幾度となく紹介されてきたジャグラーもいれば、ほとんど知られていないジャグラーもいる。パート 2 では、その中から 16 個の演目を紹介する。
まず最初の 2 つは、チョンとマナ（Chong and Mana）。筆者は詳細を知らないジャグラーである。
