In my years as a juggling researcher and historian, there has been one juggler whose numerous photos I’ve often come across, but have never learned any information about. His name is Kach Maht. I’ve finally learned a little bit about his life and career, and I hope that this article will lead to more information. The juggler I often find photos of was not the first juggler known as Kach Maht. The first one was his father, whom you can see below with his wife. It is believed that he performed in the 1910s and 1920s.
The more well-known Kach Maht was born Guy Guilhemon in 1929 in Algeria, most likely while his French parents were performing there. The family lived in France, and Guy apparently lived there his entire life. He was trained by his father and originally performed as Kach Maht Junior, as you can see below.

1958
In 1965, Kach Maht appeared as a juggler in the French movie Yoyo, starring Pierre Etaix. If you watch closely, you can see him juggle in short scenes in various places throughout the film.
By the 1970s, Kach Maht was mostly performing in gala shows around France and performing as a Medieval juggler and biloquet artist.

He also performed in an opera titled Les Acrobats in 1973 at the Grand Théâtre de Tours in Tours, France.
It is believed that he passed away in 2013 in Saint Raphael, France.
