YJA Report (Benjamin Domask-Ruh)
Discussion:
We had a meeting this month! We are working on getting details for the Juggling Education book hammered out so we can bring a strong proposal forwards for approval (End of september). The Badge Book (introduced at the festival) is in the final stages of design and will be getting a quote on production costs after those are finished (end of August). We discussed YJA involvement at the Festival this year and hammered out details on youth centered programming. Still coordinating with the festival team to see what that will look like/require.
OpsO Report (Ross Berenson)
Discussion:
- Few things pending
- Luther is a lead for Festival survey
- Code of Conduct (in progress still), want a committee of board members (Princess and Sofia join)
- Luther is interested in helping to revamp the Festival RFP.
- [Niels left the call at 6:24pm]
- Ross, Afton, Noel, Sofia, Princess are interested in helping with the revamp
- Afton’s boss would potentially help with the survey (Deena)
- DEI progress? – All communications etc. are in Click-up, which is to give a broad understanding of what’s going on
- Do we want to continue pushing it this year or wait a bit?
- Contacting all officers to see where they are and compiling a list of roles
- Jay Ko’s digital archives: do we want to, where do we want to store it? Do we want it online?
- David Cain and Jay Ko have portions of the archived information
6. Motions for Consideration
- Motion to approve Bailey Cichon as the 2022 and 2023 IJA Festival Video Coordinator.
- Author: Afton Benson
- Motion: Sofia
- Second: Noel
- Discussion:
- IJA Festival Recap Videos: Afton-Spoke to Bailey; they’re up for doing a 2022 and 2023 festival recap video. They’d be about 30 mins long each and would serve to drive engagement, memberships, and hype up the organization overall. They would also make a shorter 2 min or so video for social media/public ejuggle teaser. At the moment Bailey has estimated the 2023 video would take 8-16 hours which would put the cost somewhere between $250-$500; and for 2022 would take about 10-16 hours putting the cost between $310-$500.
- Timeline? 1-2 month turnaround. Needs Adobe Premiere subscription
- Vote: Passed unanimously
7. Varia:
Afton
- If anyone knows of any festivals that need some 2024 IJA Flyers, let me know.
