7. Varia:
Jake Darrow [joined the call at 6:58pm ET]
Ross: We’re working on the website still, life got in the way. The website was larger than expected and we had a lot of issues. We have more traffic from google bots than people. The events calendar is a bloated plugin for the website, we disabled it now. There are other options for that in the future. Looking to move forward with Woo Commerce. Yearly costs with plugins is about $800-900. Woo Comerce is more integrated with memberships. Hoping to be back at this during Q1.
Martin: Are there less issues now? Ross: Yes, he’s moved wordpress crons to a different cron. Looking to move to offsite asset hosting. Martin: WordPress makes multiple images. Ross, that’s what wordpress does; it makes a lot of files. Martin: Most of the image content is ejuggle.
Martin: Are ejuggle articles edited by the editor? Aslynne: Yes and we were looking for translators. Jake speaks Japanese.
