Now Accepting Entries! – IJA Video Tutorial Contest 2012

Video Tutorial Contest 2012

Hey, jugglers!

I’m pleased to announce the opening of the 2012 IJA Video Tutorial Contest!  Entries are being accepted now until the 31st of March, at midnight Pacific time.

The IJA Video Tutorial Contest is the largest educational event in the juggling world.  It’s open to everyone, all circus and skilltoy disciplines, and offers the largest collection of prizes awarded of any juggling contest in the world* .

Jugglers from around the world film tutorial videos, explaining a trick, move or concept.  There is no time limit, language requirement, or any other stipulation.  Entries must include an introduction, stating that it’s an entry to the 3rd Annual IJA Video Tutorial Contest and it may not include any copyrighted material. Entries may be submitted through the portal on the website, or on the IJA eZine.  The contest’s complete rules can be seen here (.pdf)  Please review these carefully before submitting your video!

Entries will be judged by our crack panel of judges, and evaluated for educational merit, production value, and entertainment value.  To learn more about the judges, click here!

Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 entries, as ranked by the judging panel.  Prize packages are currently being finalized and will be announced in the next week.  If you or your company would like to make a tax-deductible donation to the IJA’s Video Tutorial Contest, email contest director Thom Wall at!

This contest, while open to all, is not without its costs to the IJA.  If you enjoy this contest, please consider making a donation to offset international shipping fees, packing, and other overhead costs. Cash donations of $5 or more, made through the IJA’s Online Store and earmarked for the Video Tutorial Contest will be sent a special thank-you gift.  Click here to make a donation today!

Looking forward to seeing your videos, friends!

Happy filming!
