Jugglers are often looking for a way to make their acts more novel. Over the years, some jugglers have specialized in using oversized juggling props. Today, we’ll look at some examples of this trend from history and the present day.
Henri Rechatin juggled 3 huge sickles / scythes, which you can see in the following video.
Dutch diabolo artists Wim and Joke Uijtdewilligen used very large diabolos as part of their act.

Fred Garbo worked with a devil stick that was almost as tall as he was.

The Anastasinis from Italy used oversized diabolos in their act, using two jugglers to spin it.

Jack Kalvan performs with giant rings, juggling them by himself and with his wife Jeri Kalvan. Recently the entire Kalvan Family has started performing with the giant rings, using 6 of them.

Several jugglers have created huge balls / beanbags that are inflated. Fred Garbo was perhaps the first to do this, using nylon shapes filled with air. Others, including myself, went with the simpler option of juggling inflated garbage bags.

Multiple jugglers have performed with large beanbag chairs. Below you can see videos of Truly Remarkable Loon and Tom Sparough doing so.

As you can see, using overly large common juggling props or other ridiculously oversized props can make an act more unique and memorable. If you know of other examples of such props, please let me know.

ジャグラーが、自分の演技を新しく見せようと思うことは多々ある。中には、特大サイズのジャグリング道具を扱うことに特化するジャグラーもいる。この記事では、過去、そして現在そのようなジャグリングをしている人物たちを見ていく。
アンリ・ルシャタン（Henri Rechatin）は、3 本の巨大な鎌をジャグリングしていた。

空気で膨らませた大きなボールやビーンバッグを使用するジャグラーもいる。フレッド・ガルボはおそらく最初のそのようなジャグラーで、ナイロン製のボールに空気を入れて使用していた。筆者は、よりシンプルにゴミ袋を膨らませたものでジャグリングを行っている。

また、通常のクラブと似たような見た目の特大クラブも作ったことがある。

以上のように、見慣れたジャグリング道具を特大サイズにしてみたり、異様に大きい日用品をジャグリング道具として使うことで、演技をよりユニークに、記憶に残るものにすることができる。もしこのような道具を他にもご存じの方がいたら、ぜひ教えていただきたい。
