IJA Regional Competition – Oceania
The IJA partnered with the Melbourne Juggling Convention to host the IRC Oceania 2018 in Melbourne, Australia, on September 27th. There will be no IRC in this region in 2019, and we plan to return to the region in 2020 to hold the first IRC in New Zealand.
Oceania
Melbourne is a central hub for the professional and educational circus scene of Australia and New Zealand. This made partnering with the Melbourne Juggling Convention (MJC) the perfect plan for the IJA Regional Competition to feature top notch juggling talent from throughout the Oceania region. The first IRC Oceania was held at the MJC in 2017, and the second returned to the same venue in 2018. The goal for the future is to alternate between Australia and New Zealand as hosts for the annual event.
