This video is first and foremost about having fun with juggling. Jay Gilligan presents a number of accessible creative suggestions of ways to look at juggling that aren't just based on technical skill and can be executed with basic props that we mostly all have. He demonstrates ways to "breaks the rules" through such things as picking up additional props or throwing/hitting others away in the middle of a pattern. You'll surely be inspired to try something new that you might have never thought was acceptable to do before.

136 is Jay's IJA life membership number. Jay will be teaching special workshops at the IJA festival this summer (https://www.juggle.org/ija/festival/2013-ija-festival-festival-summary/2013-ija-festival-special-workshops/) and he recently published a stunning book about juggling. (Not the Last) Message from the Chair, February 2013

Hello, everyone! First and foremost, let me clear something up. As far back as the Winston-Salem festival, I have heard rumors and whispers. “I sure hope the Bowling Green festival goes well, because if it doesn’t, I hear it will be the last IJA festival!” And at every festival I’ve been to since, I’ve heard the same rumors. Let me …

Madfest 2013 Review

As is customary at the festival, the gym practice space was free to enter. The inside was very spacious and provided an excellent juggling area for all the jugglers in attendance. The back end of the gym …
