Uno Lanka: A Remembrance In Photos and Videos

By David Cain

I have been informed that the famous juggler / balancer / musician Uno Lanka passed away in 2022. Born Dennis Croner in Sri Lanka in 1950, this multi-talented performer played multiple instruments, juggled, and performed amazing balancing stunts. His ability to play various instruments while performing these balancing stunts took him around the world. He debuted his act in 1975 after two years of practice. Let’s take a look at some photos of this talented entertainer.

To the best of my knowledge, Uno Lanka was the originator of two mouth stick tricks still performed today. One uses a violin bow as a mouth stick and the other uses a balloon that is popped at the end of the trick. You can see these and more amazing tricks in the following videos.

Uno Lanka was retired and living in Australia at the time of his death. This amazing performer will long be remembered for his skill and innovation.
