The EJC is a week-long festival of juggling and related circus skills, welcoming thousands of jugglers from all over the world. It is the world’s largest participative juggling and circus arts event. It has been held each year in a different European country since 1978. The event is organised by a group of local juggling enthusiasts who make a competitive bid to host the event at a preceding EJC. This year, the event will be hosted by our Irish team in the picturesque village of Millstreet in County Cork, in the south of Ireland. EJC

The European Juggling Convention (EJC) is the world’s largest juggling and circus arts event. It has been held each year in a different European country since 1978. The event is organised by a group of local juggling enthusiasts who make a competitive bid to host the event at a preceding EJC.

EJC 2014 runs from 19th to the 27th of July, 2014 in the beautiful village of Millstreet, County Cork. Cork is the southernmost county in Ireland. EJC 2014 will host a spectacular gala show, masterclasses from juggling greats, workshops in all disciplines and entertainment every evening. The very first EJC was held in 1978 in Brighton, UK hosting just 11 attendees. The largest recorded attendance at an EJC was in 2011, Munich, Germany with 7200 attendees enjoying the week-long convention. Ireland has a significant and rapidly growing community of enthusiastic jugglers. The first juggling convention in Ireland was held in 1999 with a group of 30 jugglers from the Republic and Northern Ireland. Today there are up to 7 conventions held each year in Dublin, Belfast, Tralee, Galway, Clonakilty, Tullamore and Birr which host up to 300 attendees. Ireland hosted the 29th EJC in 2006 garnering 2252 jugglers and circus artists.
